What's a shortcode? |

Who's got time to enter a ten-digit phone number? When your cell phone asks you where to send your message, use 10101 for a song request and 20202 for chatting, sending in picture messages and private messages. It's like a regular phone number, but shorter!

What's a Keyword? |
|
A Keyword is used at the beginning of your message to tell MuchMusic what action you are trying to use. Without the Keyword, we get confused and don't know what to do with your message. For requests, the Song Code is the keyword.
Keyword examples:
NICK - enter this before registering the nickname you want to use.
DOWN Song Code – this will take away a vote from a video you don’t want to see.

How much does it cost? |

All text messages to 10101 and 20202 cost 75 cents. Picture messages to 20202 cost 3 dollars each.

Do all messages appear on screen?
|
|
All chat and picture messages will be viewed by the MuchModerator. If there's time, and your message is appropriate, we'll post it. We can't guarantee that all messages will appear on-air.

Who's this "MuchViewer" I see sending messages onscreen?
|
|
"MuchViewer" is the default name you are assigned when you send in a message without registering for a nickname. If you want to personalize your message, make sure you have a nickname.

Can I pick any nickname?
|
|
Yes. Your nickname has to be under 10 characters. Make sure it is appropriate to appear on-air, otherwise, we will replace it with MuchViewer.

Once I have a nickname, am I stuck with it?

|
No, you can change your nickname at any time by sending NICK followed by your new nickname.

Can everyone see my phone number?
|
|
No. No one will see your phone number. Your personal information is completely protected. The only way someone can message you directly is through your nickname, which doesn't reveal your phone number. Don't forget, you can change your nickname at any time.

How many times can I vote?
|

You can vote as many times as you want for the same video or
different ones. There's no limit, but each vote costs 75 cents.
