Do I need a digital T.V. to get the digital channels?

No. Any TV, even that old clunker with the pliers for the channel knob, is capable of getting a digital signal.

Do I need a digital set-top box to subscribe?

Yes, whether or not your set is digital, you still need a set-top box to receive the digital channels. Your cable provider can tell you all about their digital set-top boxes, including features and fees. If you already subscribe to certain premium cable services (pay TV, movie channels, time shifting, etc.) chances are the decoder you have is digital ready. Call your cable company for details.

What if I have Satellite TV?

Good news! You already have everything you need to go digital. Simply call your service provider or visit their web site and start subscribing to all that great digital programming.

What’s So Great About Digital TV Anyway?

Digital TV is all about choice - there’s something for everyone, and many programming providers offer pick-and-pay options so you can get only the channels you want. Other features include improved signal quality, interactive on-screen programming guide (never argue over who took the TV guide again), and parental controls to help manage what your kids watch when you’re not there to watch them.

I don’t see the service I want offered by my programming provider. What can I do?

If your cable or satellite provider is not carrying a channel you wish to see, call them and tell them you want to see a service offered.
